If you've always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wonderous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle. A Referral course starts you out with the classroom and pool work of your certification. Then, while on your trip down south you can complete yor ocean dives in tropical waters. This approach saves a lot of time while your on vacation so you don't spend days sitting in a classroom, or pool.

 

Please note that all course fees are non-refundable.  Students can switch course dates at no charge with a minimum of 7 days notice.  Within 7 days of your course start date the fee to change dates is $150.  No date changes are allowed within 24hrs of your start date.  Students who do not show up for their course without prior notice will have to pay a $500 rescheduling fee.

You MUST have a PADI medical form completed to start your course.  We advise all students to fill this form out and submit it ASAP.  if you have answered "yes" to any questions on the medical form a doctor will need to sign the medical.  If all answers are "no" the student just has to sign the form, no doctor required.

What You Learn

The PADI Open Water Diver Referral course consists of two main phases:

    Knowledge Development (online, and classroom review) to understand basic principles of scuba diving,
    Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills,

Prerequisites

To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be:

    12 years or older.
    Competed PADI Medical Questionaire
    Be able to swim 200 meters unassisted.
    Float in the deep end of a pool for 10 minutes.


The Fun Part

The fun part about this course is...well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you'll make at least five pool dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

The Scuba Gear You Use

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear including a dive computer, and standard accessories. The equipment you wear will be chosen by your TORPEDO RAYS Instructor to ensure your comfort throughout the course.

The Learning Materials You Need

PADI's Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you'll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you'll jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor.
 
Then Finish Up Down South

This referral course is just the first half of the adventure. We'll send you with a Referral Record and you'll be able to complete your Ocean dives at any PADI dive center in the world.
