Step into the world of magical storytelling and turn your passion for mermaiding into a force for ocean conservation. This intensive 2-day camp transforms participants into certified PADI Mermaids and stewards of the sea. 

Over 2 action-packed days, you will master monofin mermaid swimming techniques, dive into local intertidal biology, track marine debris, and learn how to use your unique "mermaid voice" to inspire the public through science communication and creative performance.

Dual Certifications Included:

1. PADI Mermaid Certification: Learn proper breathing techniques, duck dives, underwater dynamic swimming, buddy safety protocols, and graceful movement while wearing a mermaid tail

2. PADI AWARE Specialty Certification: Gain a global perspective on ocean stressors, with an emphasis on citizen science, marine debris tracking, and local biodiversity

We will be offering 3 different options this summer based age groups. 

• Junior Mermaids for Conservation | July 31 + Aug 1

• Intermediate Mermaids for Conservation | Aug 31 + Sept 1

• Mermaids for Conservation 18+| Aug 29 + 30 

Prerequisites:

• You need to be in good physical health 

• No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving, freediving, or scuba diving is required, but participants should be comfortable in the water and have basic swimming skills  

• You need to be able to swim at least 50m/160ft without swim aids, able to float comfortably at the surface for at least 5 mins 

• Ages 10+
