When diving the Amphos the computer displays 2 bar graphs one for nitrogen loading or oxygen accumulation. The other is an accent rate indicator graph. The computer will also display in the dive mode current and deepest depths, no decompression, deep and safety stop information, and required stop depths. Other information such as temperature, date and altitude (if applicable) can also be displayed. The computer can dive two gas mixtures of 21-50% and 50-100%. Display is based on the intuitive Wisdom3 format. Logbook will retain 24 dives (3 screens each). Selectable audible alarms with flashing icons, wet activation, and history mode with total dives, maximum depth, total dive hours, and lowest temperature are other features of the Amphor dive computer. USB Cable Connector allow downloading dive information to your PC or Mac. New from Sherwood! As easy and intuitive to read and navigate as Sherwood’s famous Wisdom line, with 7 user-changeable alarms, deep stop reminder, and free dive mode, the Amphos will appeal to all divers.
Computer automatically adjust altitude up to 14, 000′ (4267.2 meters). Maximum operational depth is 330′ (100 meters), there is an automatic safety stop countdown timer and full decompression stop countdowns as deep as 60′ (18 meters) when required. Computer has a backlight for night or low light dive conditions. You can even set the computer to be more conservative for personal health or just for added safety.
When coupled with the transmitter, the computer can read cylinder pressure. The use of the transmitter eliminates the use of a submersible pressure gauge thus eliminating a hose for a more streamline dive. Not only does the transmitter provide cylinder pressure it also adds two dynamic features to the computers functions.
Air Time Remaining:
The Air Time Remaining (ATR) feature calculates current depth, tank pressure, your breathing rate, ascent time, and decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater. The Amphor Dive Computer continually displays air time remaining via a numerical bar graph in addition to cylinder pressure. You may also display air time remaining in oversized digits at any time with the press of a button. When using the transmitter option the computer with display gas pressure from 0 to 5000 psi (0 to 350 bars).
Dive Time Remaining:
Dive Time Remaining (DTR), like Air Time Remaining provides a ‘real” number in minutes. This calculation combines nitrogen and oxygen absorption, displaying whichever allows less time. Displayed as DTR on the No Deco Main Screen, the graphic NDC, or OTR will identify which time is being displayed. NDC is the maximum amount of time that you can stay at your present depth before entering decompression. During nitrox operations oxygen accumulation during a dive or a 24 hour period, is displayed as a percent of oxygen saturation allowed per dive or per day. The computer has a 4-button system to access all functions, comes with a durable rubber wrist strap, battery hatch key and an owner’s manual.
